Following yesterday's elections I believe it's safe to say that the color of the day is blue.

The annoying head cold drags on relentlessly.

This morning will be spent grocery shopping and cleaning house.

I hope to spin and knit some more on the shawl later today. This is far and away one of the homeliest items I've produced. Yet I keep going, maybe in hopes that sheer size will make up for ugly.

Your shawl is NOT ugly. I like it. You should be proud of it. End of discussion. Oh, and get well soon, K?

I don't think it's ugly!!! But even if you think it is, it may become a prized possession. My grandmother make "scrap blankets" - afghan that used up all her left-over yarn. They are pretty gaudy, but we love having them around to lounge on. You don't have to worry about ruining them. :)

Sometimes even the most lovely to look at FO never gets worn because it just isn't practical to wear. This will be worn and loved because it is made to be. Hey, we got some rain too! 110 mls!! I'm still doing the happy dance. :o)

Your shawl is definitely *not* ugly, in the contrary, it looks great! And I do hope you'll be feeling much better soon - all the best to you!
